Collabora Version

There are two versions of Collabora Online:

  • Collabora Online Community Edition (CODE)
  • Collabora Online Enterprise Edition (COOL)

CODE is a rolling release, which is updated more frequently. COOL is an LTS version, which is updated less frequently. We use CODE (Community Edition). Since the image offered by Collabora includes  a “brand package” which is not open source, we build Collabora ourselves.

Credit where credit is due. If someone from Collabora is reading along and thinks we should include the brand package: We are happy to do so! We would just need a quick confirmation that we are allowed to 🙂
